Kaavu is,the Divine Groves Under the management of a tharavadu there are three Kaavus,which are sacred dvine groves.There are small forest areaswith ancient trees,woody creepers,medicinal herbs and inhabited by a variety of birds and animals. In these are sacred spots the various divine aspects of the Supreme Divine are worshipped. These Deities are the personification of the power of Nature that give rice the various phenomenal aspects of the world. They are worshipped and propitiated for material benefit as well as for spiritual guidance. This worship is in tune with the Vedantic wisdom that all creative aspects of Nature are  the manifestations of the Supreme Divine and are sacred. Traditional Kerala Kavu, Kavu is a traditional natural sacred space seen near traditional homes in Kerala state of South India. The site is believed to be inhabited by snakes. One of the most important and ancient Kaavus of Malabar region is Kollanarambath, which is associated with the temple.It is situated towards the Thadambattuthzam – parambil bazar road at new bazar bus stop.The divine manifestations of the Supreme are worshipped in the divine grove as Sri Bhagavathi (Tripurasundari devi) and Gandakarnan.The middle region of Malabar is unique for its Kalankari Thalappoli & Kanalattam Thalappoli Utsavas. THIRA perfomances,these are vigorous dance by the representation of the Deities having unearthly symbolic forms and costumes ,which fill the human mind with awe and wonder. The Thirayattem of Bhagavathi performed in this Kaavu.Kollanarambath family that has the traditional right of the Thira Uthsavam Makara masam (malayalam) 1st Saturday of every year.
